Abstract

A course in Financial Accounting (BUSN-221) should be a prerequisite to be successful in the Financial Management (BUSN-331) course. The concepts and constructs that are presented in the BUSN-331 course build upon applications of financial statements. Therefore, a firm understanding of the preparation of financial statements and interpretation of balance sheet and income statement accounts should facilitate the development of knowledge and competencies that are delineated in the BUSN-331 course learning outcomes.

A course in Financial Accounting BUSN 221 should be a required pre-requisite instead of Managerial Accounting BUSN 222 being listed as an option according to the current catalog.
