Abstract

The Bachelor of Science in General Engineering degree was approved by the Faculty Senate (and HLC) in 2010 but never implemented. This proposal will (a) change the name of the program to simply Bachelor of Science in Engineering and (b) give it a multidisciplinary focus. The initial set of concentration areas will be Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and Robotics. A comparison of the 2010 and proposed program is attached. A proposed catalog description of the program is attached.
