Abstract
Kettering University is eliminating 500 course numbers due to HLC concerns about our 500 level courses. Since our 500 level courses are defined as "mezzanine" they are not considered to be graduate courses by HLC. This puts a limit on how many 500 level courses a graduate student can take in the graduate program. According to HLC they cannot take more than five 500 courses. The Course Number is being changed to MECH-482 and an advanced version of the course MECH682 will be offered for graduate students.
