Abstract

This course addition supports the MSE program and fits into the 4xx/6xx paradigm used across the university. In addition to the coursework undergraduates must complete, graduate students will be required to research, investigate, analyze and present to the class the current safety strategy and policy trends in the general area of a new technology disruption. This can include how new mobility systems will impact users and how engineers and policy makers will approach safety for these systems in the future.
