This photo taken around 1937, depicts the “body drop” department at the Buick in Flint. Bodies for Buicks made here in Flint during this period (and until the implementation of the Buick City plan) at the Fisher Body Plant #1 on S. Saginaw, then shipped by trucks north to the Buick along city streets. Fisher #1 for much of its history was the largest body-making plant in the world.
